What should I do if I have problems making or receiving calls on my landline?

If you are experiencing issues making or receiving calls on your landline, follow the steps below to identify and resolve the problem.

 

1. Your phone no longer works with a high-speed connection (VDSL or Fiber) :

  • Restart your FRITZ!Box
  • Make sure your phone is connected to the FRITZ!Box on port FON1 or FON2
  • Test with another phone connected to FON1 or FON2

If your phone is connected to a different port than the one configured in your FRITZ!Box, reconnect it to the correct port and test again.

 

2. Your phone no longer works with an ADSL connection :

Check that an ADSL filter is installed on each telephone socket.

Without an ADSL filter, the line may be:

  • Disturbed
  • Or not working properly

 

3. Poor call quality :

If you experience:

  • Noise during calls
  • Interruptions
  • Poor sound quality

Please check the following:

  • The environment around your router (some electronic devices may interfere with the signal)
  • Restart your FRITZ!Box
  • Test the line with another landline phone
