If you are experiencing issues making or receiving calls on your landline, follow the steps below to identify and resolve the problem.
1. Your phone no longer works with a high-speed connection (VDSL or Fiber) :
- Restart your FRITZ!Box
- Make sure your phone is connected to the FRITZ!Box on port FON1 or FON2
- Test with another phone connected to FON1 or FON2
If your phone is connected to a different port than the one configured in your FRITZ!Box, reconnect it to the correct port and test again.
2. Your phone no longer works with an ADSL connection :
Check that an ADSL filter is installed on each telephone socket.
Without an ADSL filter, the line may be:
- Disturbed
- Or not working properly
3. Poor call quality :
If you experience:
- Noise during calls
- Interruptions
- Poor sound quality
Please check the following:
- The environment around your router (some electronic devices may interfere with the signal)
- Restart your FRITZ!Box
- Test the line with another landline phone
