What to do if your phone is lost or stolen ?

Losing your phone or having it stolen can happen to anyone.

To avoid fraudulent use, it is important to block your line as soon as possible.

 

1️⃣Block your line via the MyTango app :

  1. Open the MyTango app
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Click on Requests
  4. Select Block line

 

⚠️ Important

Available features depend on your profile :

  • Main line / account administrator: full access and modification rights
  • Secondary line : limited access

 

2️⃣Block your line from your My.Tango.lu customer area :

  1. Log in to your customer account
  2. Click Manage my lines
  3. Select the relevant line and click Details
  4. Enable Line blocked

Your line will be blocked immediately.

⚠️ Only the account administrator can change line settings.

 

3️⃣Block your line by phone :

You can also contact customer service at 800 777 77 to block your line.

 

Insurance in case of loss or theft

If you subscribed to Tango Insurance by Baloise, your phone may be covered:

  • Against theft
  • Sometimes against loss, depending on your plan

Please mention this when reporting your claim.

Some home, car or liability insurance policies may also cover phone theft.
Check with your insurer for more information.

  • Phone lock
  • PIN code or biometric authentication

 

💾 Back up your data regularly

Most manufacturers provide backup tools that allow you to restore your data on a new device.

  • Do not leave your phone unattended
  • Do not lend it to strangers
  • Stay alert in public transport and crowded places
