Are you experiencing issues connecting to the Internet on your mobile device?
Please follow the checks below depending on your situation.
1️⃣You are in Luxembourg
Check if mobile data is enabled
- Make sure mobile data is turned on on your device
- Restart your phone (turn it off and on again)
- Check that the 4G or 5G icon appears on your screen
⚠️ Important information
The Tango mobile data network uses 4G and 5G technologies.
If you are using an older phone, it may not be compatible with 4G, which can prevent mobile Internet access.
Check your network settings
📱 On iPhone or iPad :
- Open Settings
- Select Cellular Data
- Make sure Cellular Data is enabled
📱 On Android smartphone or tablet :
- Open Settings
- Select Mobile Network
- Make sure Mobile Data is enabled
Also check that Tango is selected as the network operator.
2️⃣You are abroad
When travelling, your device should automatically connect to an available partner network.
If this does not happen, you can manually select a mobile network in your device settings.
⚠️ Important
When entering another country or returning to Luxembourg, it is recommended to keep the network selection set to automatic to avoid connection issues.
Check that data roaming is enabled
📱 On iPhone or iPad :
- Go to Settings
- Select Cellular Data
- Tap Options
- Enable Data Roaming
📱 On Android smartphone or tablet :
- Go to Settings
- Select Mobile Network
- Enable Data Roaming and Mobile Data
Restart your device after changing the settings.
⚠️ Network coverage abroad
In remote areas (mountains, deserts, rural regions), mobile network coverage may be limited or unavailable.
In addition, some countries have phased out their 3G networks.
If your phone does not support 4G or 5G, it may not be able to connect to the Internet or make calls.
Before travelling, we recommend checking your device compatibility with the networks available in your destination country.
💡 Tango tip
When roaming outside Europe, mobile data can be expensive.
Remember to :
- Disable mobile data if needed
- Monitor your usage limits
You can easily manage this via the MyTango App.
